RVRS was founded on the simple principles of blockchain.
To provide a solution to an existing problem.
To create a transparent initiative based on hard to corrupt data,
and to reward users for upholding the network.
– Just like mining for bitcoin, only simpler and better for the environment.
A lot better.
While Bitcoin gave us access to transparent transactions,
RVRS aims to bring transparency to climate impact projects.
Likewise, just as Bitcoin brought us an incentive for a
P2P (Peer 2 Peer) data network through BTC ‘mining’,
RVRS utilizes smart contract technology to provide
monetary incentive to its community,
the life blood of the Reverse climate change initiative.

TRANSPARENCY
While we work on developing an on-chain transparency mechanism,
allowing integration of live information feeds
from the climate projects we support,
we want to be open with the community.
This is a project driven and sustained by its community,
so information should be accessible to each member.
– While we work on providing not only higher quality data sources
to improve verifiability of our work,
but sources that easier and more accessible,
we are always able to supply up to date data requests,
such as accredited certificates that verify our impact statements.

Here is a project we work with, that allowed us to showcase
what’s possible when we come together,
while providing a 3rd party data source that verified
what we were doing and increased trust
(monopolies can be dangerous and manipulated).
In just a short while we funded the planting of 150,000 trees and supported a variety of accredited projects that
prevented 6,000 Tonnes of CO2.
One of the projects even met all
17 of the UN (United Nations) SDGs (sustainable development goals)!
The trees themselves were mostly Mangrove trees,
which are one of the most efficient ways to sequester
CO2 from the atmosphere.
